[RULES] OMNI-ITEMS AND SPELLS

It has been a long time since the players have played and used their characters or they might be a little unfamiliar with them or the current DnD system.  To facilitate this, we introduce the use of Omni-items and spells.

Basically, Omni-items and spells are are items and spells whose exact Powers and Attributes are unknown. They are only defined when they are taken out and used. Their main limitation are as follows:

  • Omni-spells:  Character prepared spells are considered to be omni-spells.  As such their prepared spells can be of any spells available to the character's spell list.  Once used, the chosen spells are considered to be part of the permanent chosen prepared spell list.  Spells chosen must conform with the limitations per class and level of the character.
  • Omni-Items:  Each character has one common and one uncommon magic item.  Each one is considered to be an omni-item and the choice becomes permanent only upon use.
  • Omni-feat:  Each character has one level 4 feat.  This is considered to be an-omni feat and only comes into play once the players selects a general feat for his or her character.

Ex.  Rod has 7 prepared spells.  At the start of the game, all of 7 of these are omni-spells. Since he is a 4th level wizard, he can select from any 1st or 2nd level spell as part of his prepared spells.  If he decides to cast Flaming Sphere, this uses up of his omni-spells (and a level 2 spell slot) and Flaming Sphere becomes permanent in his prepared spell list for the game.
All italicized feats, spells, items that are italicized in the character description are considered to be suggestions for omni replacement.  Once used, the selected replacement shall be edited in bold and shall then be considered a permanent replacement for that character.
